Halloween!

This year, Halloween was really fun with the girls, because they are just getting old enough to understand it, or at least understand free candy!

We were given a mouse costume from a friend, and we had planned to dress up Abby in the Elmo costume that Hannah used last year.
It has not been seen since before we moved, and we tore the plae apart looking for it with no luck, so no Elmo costume.

We decided last minute to make Abby a cat, since Hannah was a mouse.
We could not find any cat ear headbands anywhere, so we bought a black hoodie and hot glued felt ears to it. They got placed too far back on the hood, so she didn't look too much like a cat in the end, but oh well, she is only 2 (in a few days!).

We took the girls to Grandma Ericksen's house to trick or treat, and Grandma went around her neighborhood with us. I would say we went to about 15 houses, enough for the girls at this age.
They still don't understand you can't just barge into someone's house, and they were learning to say trick or treat and thank you, but overall they were really good.

Next year they will get it even more.

I am all about simple Halloween costumes, especially when they can only wear it once. Hopefully you can find your elmo costume for baby number 3!
